I loved 'Use of Weapons'. I adored 'Player of Games'. I most definitely did NOT like this book. I was bored most of the time, but powered through, hoping it would improve. It didn't. I know Banks is an amazing author, and I respect his talents... maybe space opera just isn't up my alley.
