Round Two.

Already I'm sucked in better than the first time around, now that I have an actual idea on what to expect. I rememeber these people. I even know them... a little.

I still don't understand quite everything, but I'd be glad to one day. A definite re-read.

Zelazny is excellent at building up tension and peril, raising the stakes and making us wonder the outcome, never too comfortable at their odds of winning. On top of my head I can't think of any authors that could top him on this front.

This Buddha has a certain mean streak to him, that surfaces from time to time. It makes me doubt his divinity.
