I am sick of reading about Rhapsody feeding her baby. There have been way too many baby feeding scenes in this book.

I am 200 pages into this book, and basically nothing interesting has happened.

I am on chapter twelve, and it has only been in the main character's POV for one chapter, while more minor characters have had multiple chapters each. I don't even like the main character, but this is ridiculous.

"bubbling wines, fragile emasculated pastries, and finger sandwiches with the crusts cut off."

What is an emasculated pastry? How can a pastry be emasculated? This description makes no sense and I am so confused.

How is Rhapsody magically talking to this girl in her head? Is this some part of the magic system that I have forgotten, or is it just because Rhapsody is special and can do anything?

The problem in not reading a series for 4 years and then picking it up again is when you have to read a whole chapter in the POV of someone you forgot existed.

I hated the first 6 books in this series, but I'm going to read this book anyway because I don't like to leave series unfinished.
