Good read. Exciting beginning as s young woman, Maria, is exiled from her home, why? Then she's.rescued in the Indian Sea. Maria narrates the story. Who is she and from where? Questions not all an answered. Book drags at times then picks up again. Didn't know it was a series when started book.hence 3 star rating.Different and interesting. Would read authoe again.
