Further faves so far: Roxanne Dent's Zombies At Red Rock -a girl, a strange man + zombies, Kevin G. Bufton's Roots -a cryptobotany story w/ a nod to Jack Finney, about vampiric tumbleweeds attacking a father and his 2 sons, and Jon McAchren's Dance With Snakes -an out-of-town marshall and his native Indian guide travel to a bar to solve the disappearance of townfolk + snakes.

A solid collection of very entertaining stories and several that will stick with me. One of only two or three collections I've ever read where I liked every story.

None of the last 4 were my favorites but all of them were good. Still, no duds. If any of y'all like weird western horrors this would be a great book to have.

All good to great tales and not a dud among 'em. My faves thus far: A.R. Aston's The Angel of Solitude -a bounty hunter and the reward he's to receive after turning in a 'guilty' criminal to a town possessed w/ 'God', and John Hunt's Cracklin' -a twisted man's search for Gerrold, the man who killed his brother and what ensues when he finds 'him',.
