Loved the tale by Owen King. He clearly has inherited his famous father’s capacity for stringing words together. However, as she shows in this contribution to the anthology, he is still his own man, with a clear sense of what he is about, what he values and what his thoughts about New York are.

Consumed over a plate of grilled cheese on toast, on a Sunday morning in Kingfisher Lane. The chapter by Amy Sohn was quite poignant: some friendships are not meant to endure. As her friend Katherine tells her: “A friendship is kind of like a romance....at a certain point, it’s better to break things off completely.” (P188)

Reminding me of the times spent with Celena in the vibrant metropolis that is New York.

The next chapter is written by Whoopi Goldberg. Should be fun.
