Having difficulties with this one. I may have the film too ingrained in me, but I'm not liking how much the characters in the novel understand. The Overlook and Danny's relation to it has been interesting in its mystery, especially in how little Jack and Wendy are "in" on it all, but here, they just.....discuss it. The haunted Overlook, Danny's ability to Shine, all of it. Less intriguing this way.
