can definitely see the musings of 1984 in this so far; the bookshop gordon works at overlooking commercial posters lining the street opposite, the thin layer of grime that seems to coat the narrative so far, the split between his hate and desire for money. keeps talking about his failed attempts at writing his poetry, wonder where that will take the story!
