Interesting book. Whilst Alinsky carries the same focus on realpolitik, avoidance of hypocrisy ("telling it like it is"), and emphasis on self interest, it comes across in a less cynical tone to his later, more famous Rules for Radicals. I'll be fascinated to see how these ideals shape up to his actual practice of organising in the biography of him. Also, I hope it provides me with practical guidance ...
