Stir fry is a “typical yin/yang dish” because vegetables are “cooling” and spices are “warming”, “prawns are yin, eggs are yang”. Not the Hong Kong version, but all stir fries. I wonder if you’d describe beans on toast as a yin/yang dish too or if that’s entirely attached to Chinese cooking

“Without mear eaters and dairy farmers, most animals wouldn’t have a life worth living. Modern standards in livestock rearing mean that farm animals’ life expectancy is vastly increased, as quality of life is drastically improved.”

I understand what the authors are trying to do, to eradicate the fear of certain vilified foods, but this is such BS it hurts my eyes to read it.
