This book is very different from what I’m use to. I’m really accustomed to historical fiction that has a female narrative with a largely female set of characters, so this is really left field for me...very different tone, unique dialogue, and gender really kind of matters in this point. Lots of military and cultural references that I had to look up to fully grasp. Good read so far though.
