I didn't enjoy 'Normal People' at all but I wondered how much of that was due in part to watching the TV series beforehand, so I suppose this is an experiment to see if I'd have a more positive reaction to Rooney's other novel. God, the characters are almost vomit-inducing in how vapid they are. Going to persevere because there has to be a reason why these books are so popular.
