The second story in this book was amazing. Being non-binary myself I was really able to connect with Neer as a character. The hardship they faced from the other characters was pertain able to the current political climate we see today. People have a backwards motive but use other reasons to suppress the people they don't like. I feel as though this story was a great commentary on America and politics

*SPOILERS*

Going into this book I wasn't sure what to expect. I had listened to Janelle Monae's album Dirty Computer without realizing what it was about, but I love it. Seshet is such an amazing protagonist and I enjoy seeing her figuring out who she wants to be, especially with Alethia. The idea of this woman who had wanted to be in power for so long possibly giving it up for the love of her life is amazing
