So being home with the poor and noisy family made Fanny appreciate the rich and better-educated dude so much more. Maybe she'll marry him and also decide to act in that play that she was so much against.

Fanny went home. A poorer, noisier, and smaller than the Mansfield park she had gotten used to. Ah, the sadness and disappointment!

Travel day reading: Fanny's first ball and her distress of being courted by the mr heartbreaker. Everyone else is baffled by her ardent refusals.
