i think dorian fell for sylvia's art and acting because he looks at artistry and sees life, beauty, and youth — three things by which his worldview has revolved around since meeting lord henry.

sylvia must have fallen for dorian's gallance, his youthful charm and adoring proclamations. she saw someone in technicolor when all she'd known before was grayscale.

they fell for ideals of each other; it's heartbreaking.
