The opening essay by Walter Cerf is a fascinating treatment of the difference between 'reflective philosophy and speculative philosophy. The treatment clears up comments on reflective thought in the Encyclopedia Logic a great deal, as I no longer have to guess by context what Hegel thinks of reflective 'philosophy', which culminated in Kant's work.
