Dwelling into the early life of Watson and Holmes, the latter’s occupation still a mystery, and it is amusing at the steps by which John takes to deduce it.

Absolutely fantastic. I did notice however that the first chapter of the first story was more of an introduction to Holmes, defined by the take of a fast-paced approach. It is peculiar to see Holmes, as the first chapter only introduces him in a way of which is not to his like further throughout the canon by Doyle, and other authors who have had a go at him. This, simply, is in terms of dialogue and hastiness.
