OW!!! I forgot how painful this book is. Regretting my choice to reread it

This is actually the most painful book I've read in a bit. A grief observed by CS Lewis is another one. But, this one hurt me a lot more because so many of the emotions expressed were emotions I've felt. The loneliness, the feeling that you're not wanted, that you could be easily forgotten. It was so painful and so difficult to read. It took me a while because of that. I recommend it with a ginormous grain of salt.
