“I should have been scared, terrified, hardly wondering if they were staties or local and if more of them were coming and more if William was afraid.” Was this book edited

DNF AT 24% The main character is really annoying. And I don't say that because I think reading about someone who's suicidal and depressed is annoying or boring. She seems naive in how she views the world. Once again, not the suicidal stuff. Just small things. Which seems okay but they pile up. The beginning is strong, but it drags because it's not EXCITING to be watching a car race from her mind. She's boring.

“Glad to hear you’re feeling some concern for yourself, Jumper.” Rude, condescending, patronizing, you pick the word.

“Then again, maybe he was a Buddhist or something, a believer that what came around would go around. If I could, I thought I would have laughed.” Slightly seems that she's laughing at the Buddhist principle

“Why did William even bother to help me...There wasn’t a crucifix hanging from his rearview mirror, and I hadn’t seen any Jesus bumper stickers..." Maybe because religion isn't the only reason why people do good things. People do this kind of stuff from the goodness of their heart, not cause they're trying to get a good deed written in their books. Religion doesn't play a factor in this scenario at all
