I rarely DNF a book, but I couldn't get on with this one. The lack of quotation marks, sesquipedalian tendencies and long, complicated sentences took me out of the narrative. I had to re-read passages again and again to make sense of them and I became lost in the wordy descriptions but failed to find an interesting plot.
