I’m finding this to be such a slog. It just feels very boring and the stakes don’t feel particularly high. I think this story could be told with half the amount of words and much less seemingly pointless interactions. It’s not written badly but perhaps it’s just not for me. Going to take a break and see if I even want to come back to it.
