I will finish it today then move on to The Custom of the Army then The Scottish Prisoner. I inadvertently read them out of order because three of the novellas are contain within one book I bought and I foolishly assumed they were to be read back to back. I have to admit, I was a little confused at the appearance then lack of mention to one Tom Byrd--LJG's valet who I just adore.
This book is a non-fiction account of the Highland clans and their traditions told during the time they actually existed or shortly thereafter from what I've gathered.

Ummmm why wouldn't someone assume that the stories weren't in order if they are compiled in a book?!?!!? WTF??? Sorry! that blows...Tom's the best...

I was so confused until I read The Private Matter (which I read after the three novellas instead of first). It's my own damn fault for not consulting the book order police/Outlander experts or DG's website first. I will read them in order next time. I have really really enjoyed these books. I have fallen even more in love with LJG's character. I'm not in love with him the way I am JAMMF, wee Ian or Roger Mac, but I love who he is, ye ken?
