This book is a lot grittier than I expected. Less romance, and lots of dark situations (including r*** and violent sexual content). It has been quite an interesting read so far though, and its hard not to root for the main character.

Working my way through this one finally! Took a pause on it for a while to read other things but I'm definitely invested now. It's still just as horrific as ever, coming from more sweet and tender gay fiction but its rawness is fresh and it feels very real. Should hopefully finish it in the next couple days, then on to this month's Book Club book!
