Mostly, I found this book sad. It’s beautifully written in a way, and if I were a naturalist I think I’d be captivated. I found it to be a pain filled story- and was left feeling like I’d just spent time alone on a dark, starless, windy night on a cliff overlooking the sea….a fragile kind of beauty but mostly- cold, dark, alone.
