I really like Gregory's exploration of consciousness in "Second Person, Present Tense."

Kosmatka's "Prophet of Flores" posits a world in which scientists all agree that the world is 5,800 years old. The main character is a genetic "sampler" on a dig in Indonesia where questionable bones have been discovered. Provocative story with a thriller feel. Has anyone read the related novel Prophet of Bones?

A couple of savant stories in a row. I liked the subtle romance in Brenda Cooper's story.

I found Karl Schroeder's "To Hie from Far Cilenia" really engaging. Tracking stolen plutonium through alternate reality games peopled with cyranoids.

Ken Liu is just so, so good.

I struggled to get into ""Finisterra" and decided to skip it for now. A pleasure to reread “Evil Robot Monkey” by Mary Robinette Kowal. “The Education Of Junior Number 12″ by Madeline Ashby was brutal.

"One of our Bastards is Missing" - Apparently part of a series of parallel-world stories by Cornell in which the "great game" of European espionage continues into space. Really neat.

"Tk'Tk'Tk" by David D. Levine. Hugo-winning story about a seriously down on his luck salesman on an alien world. Very nicely done.
