I can see why a lot of people are so-so about this -- Verble's prose is very practical, almost straightforward, in a way that matches Two's personality really well but isn't quite so attractive to readers looking for flowery prose. I enjoy it (it reminds me a bit of Makiia Lucier's writing), and it's also quite nice in audio format.
