i had a hard time getting into this book at first. probably because not much happened in the first 100 pages aandd because the way the chapters jump back and forth between different character povs AND different time periods is slightly jarring.
although i feel like i've settled into the book's rhythm now, i'm still not liking it as much as evelyn hugo :(
