This book is a good source for learning about black history. It covers the time up to the Tulsa Race Massacre. This terrible event is seldom (never) taught in our schools. The author is good at documenting the events. I found the history of Greenwood, a very successful mostly black neighborhood near Tulsa, to be really interesting. Having never been the k seems to bhistorye mor of a personal narrative by the author.
