This book has been in my library forever! And I just decided to read it yesterday and I love it so far. A modern story of a reluctant duke and an African American PhD candidate who is obsessed with Jane Eyre, researching the roles of Africans in 19th century English literature.

They come together and deal with his dark and mysterious past.
