I felt like this book had a bit of a rough start, but it's gotten MUCH better. The world is very original: like Narnia meets Little House on the Prairie. I didn't think it would work well, but it actually does! I have no idea what's going to happen to Lauren, Aiden, and Ethan next and I am enjoying the suspense. :)

I'm about a third of the way in and liking this book. It reminds me of Little House on the Prairie reimagined as a fantasy allegory. I'm curious to see where the story leads!
