Yoshi I wanted to read this since ages, but didn't pick it up yet. What do you think of this? is it filled with sex scenes every other page?

Sarasaya I opened this one for the first time a lot of time ago. It was intense at the beginning but then each chapter begins with a small episode of daily life and then 10 pages of sex and love, repeatedly.(I'm happy for them but, really, too much love...) It is a pleasant reading, but I don't know if it will lead to something. For now, I can say that, compared to the plot, it is too long. Too many pages of sappy sex (ok, it's also hot sex, but mostly sappy).

Yoshi It seems that most of Sean Michael's books are just full of sappy sex... that's why I didn't pick up any of her books since almost a year.
Did you read the Hammer novels? I have almost throw my iphone against the wall... anyway, I have read several books from the series, I just don't know why, it seems that I hate it but I just want to read it.... LOL

Sarasaya I know, but "Secrets, Skin and Leather" wasn't sappy at all!
I have the Hammer series, is it sappy, too?! I thought it was BDSM!!

Some of the Hammer books are pretty sappy and they all have tons and tons of sex and repetitive dialogue. The 3 first ones are better than the rest (Found, Forged, Bent). I can't read Sean Michael anymore. I just want to pitch my ereader against the wall.

Sarasaya Ok, I understand that Sean makes you throw things against the wall. I hope that I will remain immune, since I use a laptop ...

Yoshi Secrets, Skin and Leather is my favorite read by Sean Michael.
Sara, it doesn't make any difference if you use your laptop or not, you may still want to throw it against the wall. (how I miss paperback....)
If you want to read some 'good' BDSM, you should not waste your time in the Hammer series.... I read the series shortly after I discovered m/m and gave some of the books 4*. If you ask me to rate them now, they will be properly 2.5 or 3* As Kate said, it's full with sex and repetitive dialogue - this's the reason I wanted to throw my iphone again the wall! I can give you some suggestion if you want to read some BDSM, as it's one of my favorite genre.
*evil grin*

Sarasaya Yoshi - you've got a mail. ;)

Mel Wait Sara, didn't you send me the Hammer series? It's sappy? You sent me sap?!?!
:P

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

The early Hammers aren't sugary sappy, just endings that are a little too picture perfect.

They are much better than Second Sight or any of the others that don't have any BDSM in them. Not that the BDSM is that great, but it improves his books immensely.

Sarasaya Send?! Wait, are you talking about Texas series?

Sarasaya Thanks Kate, I'll give it a try.

message 13: by Mel (new)

Mel Oh wait yeah. Texas. Why did I confuse that with Hammer? Never mind me.

Have fun with them Sara. I agree with Yoshi that I'd probably rate them a little lower if I were rating them now, but the 3 I mentioned weren't that bad.
