One would think that the son of a King would have been taught a thing or 2 *sigh* A 13 y/o contemptuous, stupid, full of himself, brat (and a thied at that) is what we've got though. Thankfully, we also have such great characters as Twardy or Ashley

I had to breathe a bit after the 1st book. Some events had a traumatizing impact on me (have I mentionned that I hated torture ?). It's been really really hard to get into this book but, fortunately, I am now at peace (somehow) and I am enjoying the read.

Mmm...difficult to get into this one. I can't explain why. It looks as good as the Riddler's Gift but I'm scared for the characters (I know, I know...), for what will happen in the Oldenworld. I don't want any more torture. I just hope there won't be any.

It took me a while to get into the second book because of what happened in the 1st one (black magic used to anhilate someone's will after a lot of torture. Reminded me a lot of the Denna episode in WFR if you see what I'm talking about).But yes. I am enjoying the read. I like this one better that the 1st actually. Give it a try if you have them.
