This huge book with the skinny pages and the fine print broke in half while I was reading. It actually helped...holding it open to read the words at the binding was breaking my hands. But the story is readable enough. Jonathan's war work being finished, he has begun to write a book, which Mr. Norrell is not happy about. Then the scene switched to Faerie, which is fun.

These pages were mostly dealing with Jonathan and Mr. Norrell's relationship, which is kind of love/hate. The book continues to amuse.

Back from Europe, Jonathan spends the first part of the section trying to cure the king of his insanity, then turns to learning to navigate between mirrors, much to the consternation of his wife.

No sooner does Jonathan return from France after helping Lord Wellington win the war with Napoleon, he is expected to cure the King of his madness. Now everything is going awry.

I am now going back to Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Jonathan is now accompanying Lord Wellington as he traverses Europe fighting Napoleon. The magic he performs to help the war effort is very funny as well as silly. What a fun section.

As I continue in this book, more magical events and people are appearing around London. Though the people find it diverting, they are also learning how unpredictable it is. The book grows more entertaining.

I have read the next 50 pages of this. Jonathan Strange has come into the story and Mr. Norrell has agreed to tutor him in magic. Their feelings about each other vastly differ.

I left this book at p 260 because I came to a really good stopping place and I am behind on my book reading challenge on Goodreads. This book goes on for another 800 pages! It is still interesting and has become more fun. In the last few pages I read we were just introduced to Jonathan Strange. That introduction was rather funny...

This time back I find that the print is not too small for my poor eyes, since I have gotten new glasses and I see better. Hurray!
