Some parts of this book are extremely problematic. The author uses a good deal of sexist language, and some terms that are no longer acceptable. He discusses almost exclusively male colleagues and historical taxonomists. And there are numerous factual inaccuracies sprinkled throughout the book. These failings are not compensated for by the humour of the book.
