Very unclear what's in it for the incredibly effective ex-SAS man.

Chugging along agreeably enough. Competent, and I want to finish it, but my enthusiasm levels are not particularly high.

And back to the Brighton trunk murders

Chugging along most agreeably if getting increasingly improbable

Getting ever more engrossing - and the set up feels original

Promising start. Interesting and credible take on police politics (a statement based on scant knowledge).
