In case others need it! To get rid of the suggestions GoodReads is putting in feeds: Click on the settings gear on the top of your feed (recommendations link and next to "currently reading") and unclick "recommendations from GoodReads" and "Editorial Content From Goodreads." Then click "Apply Filters."
