Thanks everyone. I'm taking half day leave today. Gosh, I should not have started Jo Goodman's book on a Sunday night. I've forgotten how unpredictable her books are, so I'm basically on tenterhooks at the moment!
I really like Jo Goodman but one thing I noticed about her books (and it's a shallow observation) is that she often has awful book titles and covers that don't really convey the depth of her works (If His is Wicked...I'm looking at you)

The publisher has done such a rotten job at these, And don't forget the blurb. Her books are so much more than what the blurb conveys that it's frustrating. I think a lot of people give her books a pass because of these factors and it's simply not fair to her. She is an excellent author.
