Now that I've finally almost got through the book I’m touched. It took so much to keep going because this girl was severely depressed. When i found out why i was crying with her. She was actually tough and kept fighting through the “thick of it.” Even after her mom jetted off. Very touching story. Her boyfriend Sky is a touch kid as well. May, Sky and Laurel have some serious issues they are dealing with.

So far it seems the girl is depressed because her sister died a few years ago. Her teacher has given her an assignment to write a letter to a dead person. She starts out with a letter to Kurt Cobain and that was interesting and made me wonder if drugs are involved. I can't wait to see what happens next.
