Nat K You'll love him! Very British humour.

Neale Love it so far. I love this passage where the family have just bought a brand spanking new TV. The mother of the family has left her husband, it happens regularly apparently, and the daughter thinks it is just so she can spend some time watching this new wonder machine. When she arrives she asks the husband to turn it on, and he says there is nothing on through the middle of the day. OMG, how the times have changed. Hahaha. :-)

That's gold Jerry! 😃 Sounds like it's very amusing. I'm guessing this is set in the 70s (or earlier?).

The Rotter's Club had the same vibe. It really captured how different the world was then. Shops closed on the weekend, that kind of thing. He's an enjoyable Writer.
