The cake. The flowers. They do not excite me, nor motivate me to keep turning the pages.
I just finished this and I was pretty bored too. It’s still Vic and Jacob, but it was definitely not my favorite of the series.

Yeah, it pretty much got 4 stars from me only by virtue of being about Vic & Jacob.
