One interesting part was when Thomas Teresa and chuck pushed the button to stop all the grievers. When they were in the hole Teresa put the code into the computer ,however, it didn’t work. Thomas noticed a button therefore he pushed it and all the grievers stopped. This is infesting because even though the code didn’t work they still found a way to shut them off. Also they risked there lives jumping in the hole.

One character trait to describe Thomas is a fast learner. On page 211 Minho was teaching Thomas how to cut the vines while running. “But by his tenth attempt he could almost match Minho at the task”.When he first taught him he couldn’t do it and within ten tries he was almost as good a minho. The shows the Thomas can learn things very fast no matter the event that is taking place

Thomas is courageous. Even though he was in a cold cage without any recollection of his memory he still went on. "My name is Thomas, he thought" that was the only thing he could remember. When the lift finally got to the top, he heard voices of other kids. After waiting a bit he finally got up and went with them. This is why he is brave even after being in a unfamiliarly place he still went on. He also trusted Chuck.
