The idea is it's millions of years in the future and all of humanity lives in this giant metal pyramid in bottom of this enormous hole in the ground. It's beset on all sides by incomprehensible threats. It was based alot off Lord Kevin's idea that sun's burned hydrogen and oxygen to make heat and would burn out.

"This book really takes a jarring turn when he rescues his princess and then from that point on every single chapter is about the various reasons he finds it necessary to beat her ass with a stick"

Soooo... despite the reputation, I was told the 4chan lit board has some interestingly groovy titles. Once you avoid the racism. Welp, I'll try anything once.

It's full of monsters and eltrich abominations and all kinds of mysterious things left to the imagination. Also there is like a small community making fanfic about it is really good. A subgenere of "entrophic speculative fiction".

Anyways the novel is a tale of a knight sent to rescue a damsel in distress written in this faux medieval prose which is absolutely wretched but you get used it to. It's also a lot of repetitious lines about drinking water out of a canteen and camping in the dust.

"Its published in 1912 by a weight-lifting army captain who died in combat in WWI and it's really just out there. Very interesting if you like settings/ universes more than dialogue or prose.
