I have had this book since 1988 and am just now reading it. I am just about finished with the first of 3 sections on Tahiti, Section 2 is about Australia. It's lavishly illustrated and replete with sidebars, which include brief biographies and short, in-depth historical, scientific, or geographical accounts., So far, so good.,
