I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sometimes we read books to find pieces of ourselves. The thoughts about grief just HIT. I feel like they're finding me, though I know it's just this season of my life.
"Grief is full and heavy and drowning because it isn't the absence of everything you lost- it's the culmination of it all, your love, your happiness, your bittersweets..."

It's funny to me everytime I read a book set in a small town. I always start with the size of my hometown. Then they describe ice cream parlors and bookstores and diners. So the small town in the book just keeps growing until it doesn't feel that small to me at all.
