Alina Not necessarily with intention, but i also practice tsundoku ๐Ÿ˜‹

Left Coast Justin I tried to leave a comment on your blog but it wouldn't allow it.

Well, of *course* there's a word for this, even if so far only the Japanese have come up with it! Thanks for sharing this personal-but-universal essay -- I have an entire corner bookshelf filled with books describing how to communicate mathematical concepts elegantly with graphics, which I will never have the time to read, let alone to indulge in the techniques described. Good luck with your ever-growing stack!

Hazeanni I found out that I also practice tsundoku. Not intentionally though. I just don't have time and right feeling to read it yet. After reading, it will enter my book-box and shelf refills with unread books.

*Tau* It's so nice to read that there are several of my GR-friends who also practise tsundoku ๐Ÿ˜„
Remember: this is something positive!
To be honest, I don't do it intentionally either. But it's just a matter of lack of time to read all those interesting books ๐Ÿ˜‰

Claudia One more here, can't resist. I also buy several editions of the same book, english/romanian, hardcover, paperback, ebook, and I end up reading almost everything in ebook format because it's easier to handle on comute or bed ๐Ÿ˜€

Wulf Krueger LOL, I didn't know that word but I definitely *should* have known... :)

Petra X You can call it art. I call it owning an indie bookshop in this day and age of Amazon and Kindle. Sadly. Still I do get to buy every book I want to read (and then hope to sell).
