Just heard of W Owen… never would have thought a soldier would have found the time to write from the trenches… intrigued….

He's one of my favorite poets. He died young, so his entire poetic corpus is not large, but what he left behind is beautifully expressive without resorting to hackneyed patterns of English verse.

Interestingly, some readers discern a prominent strain of homoeroticism in his work, and others don't detect it all. From my own readings, I think it's quite evident.
