I love this retelling version of the Carrie story! I didn’t like Kenny at first because he seemed to be trying to fit in with the white kids but seeing the comparison between him and Maddie was interesting. The connection they both made seemed genuine when you realize that they both were just ‘surviving’ and what choice do they have really as children still living at home?
