I must admit that JB's text (language) is slightly enigmatic and cloudy. It's hard to really understand what's being said at all times. Hope I don't misunderstand the plot itself.

There are so many expressions, sayings, local accent, etc that are not in my language level here. Plus all these facts words about mountain-climbing and this very complicated US (Utah's) police organization.

I had my problems with this accent in the beginning too, but got used to it. It's nothing comparing to Prosperity by Alexis Hall. I went nut after the first 10 pages!
