The kims don’t have any chemistry. Their bumbling dynamic, rather than being fun or funny, is just annoying. The obstacles their bad choices add to the plot only serve to slow it down

Way too many characters. And scenes cut at the highest tension parts into low tension or already resolved after math which is highly disappointing

This book is all over the place. Transitions are nonexistent, too many concepts means none of them are fully developed. The narration isn’t useful or additive at all. And they have no motivation for their whole mission of returning him to his dimension.
