Despite being a quick read, The Bullet That Missed has pacing issues. It felt like the Thursday Murder Club wasn't all invested into solving this mystery. In the previous books, despite whatever else was going on, the investigation kept moving at good pace. There was purpose in the club's actions. It's frustrating to feel like only Ibrahim was putting any thought to the case.

Pacing issues. Too much plot with too many TV jump cuts. Osman took a step back on this entry. Book 2 had tighter story telling. Book 3 is back to the convoluted mess of book 1. And worse, it made the characters less than charming
